Well I had to write this thing man.....

Who said good people exist only in books, films and imagination, well they exist in India too... Today early morning at 8am, I was just too tired of getting up from the bed as yesterday till 11pm, I was busy working in the kitchen... though I had a bad tiring day from morning 10 to 6 in the evening .... Reason being relatives are coming at home, beta ... we need to have all kinds of varieties n stuff!!! well, can't blame her for all the traditional stuff....

Then fortunately my hard earned money at internship had to be deposited in my HDFC bank account..... I hardly go there as I do not involve myself in financial stuff but today was a different day for a fact.... i went with mom as she had work too..... so sorted d work and now had to rush to college...

As usual, i was running late! Easiest option : "Rickshaw!"

I sat and asked mumma if i could drop her... Suddenly she noticed a mobile phone in the rick...

n she asked me, if it was mine (this proves that though i have changed 4 sets in past 5 yrs.... she does remember which mobile i own since past 1 yr!!!!!)

I asked the rickshawala, " Bhaiyaa, aapka last passenger kaun tha?". He said a young guy with a Himesh Reshamiya cap on his head( arre bhai, himesha k toh baal nai the, isiliye cap pehne ghumta tha, tumhe toh hai, tabhi ghum rahe ho!!! No comments on such idiotic fashion sense...)....... n incidentally the guy entered HDFC only so we found him immediately.

The auto guy returned the mobile..... Not just that..... When we moved out of the bank, someone called out... we looked behind and realized it was the bank manager himself... He gifted a watch to the auto guy for his honesty! Whoaa.....

Well, this is called reward! Had the guy been dishonest, he would have got a second hand mobile but he was honest and got a brand new watch! Well for HDFC, they definitely earned word of mouth publicity!

Beg and genuine earning!

Have you ever given money to a small kid along your way?

Have you ever given a thought where exactly this money goes?

Have you ever given a second thought about how you have made one person more dependent on someone else and deprived him of his self-respect?

If you haven’t given a thought to this, just read the following and you will understand about it.
When you give beg, you just employee a person in the ‘begging business’, which of course is big with overwhelming money in it. This ‘industry’ runs on sentiments of each individual. You may know how your sentiments can be played with and your sentiments are multi-folded when they are attached to children. So when you see a kid begging, you feel how much of pain must he be in. So you do the needful you give him a small amount thinking that you have just helped him and the amount is not so big for you. Do you feel proud because of that? Well, in that case, you shouldn't be. The one-buck, which seems too small to you, has actually great worth when you multiply it with the rest of the population. Ever heard of the saying that Millions of drops make up an ocean. There are thousands of others who think on same lines and they do the same. Humans do not know about begging right from their birth it is not a primeval instinct. They learn it from some one else and in this case from their parents. The parents know that their small child is a potential earner and who can earn much more than them then why not send them to work (beg). Now to increase the earning capacity of family you need more earners (beggars) so how you get them, more kids! Adding to the already down trodden population. I don’t understand that if you can’t look after your kids, why the hell do you have them??? The government of India has beautiful system of free schools and mid day lunches for deprived children. Why will a parent send an earning child to this school and suffer losses. So now you have an illiterate and non self-reliant adult and India’s dream to have a better educated population is broken.

So if you want to break this loop this is what you have to do. Next time when a child begs to you, don’t give him anything rather save this money till it becomes a big amount and donate it. When the parents of these children see that they are not earning anything through the child, they will stop sending them to beg and of course drop the plans they had to have more kids. They will now at least think of sending them to school because their one time food expense is being taken care of and their future will be much brighter. Now there will be a positive shift towards much more literate people.

Well this one is written by my best friend Omkar.... since he is too lazy to prepare his own blog :P.

No genuinely I agree with the above thought and in true sense if you think about this, you will realize how every signal in Mumbai has minimum of 4-5 beggars and mostly its a full-fledged family. They can all resort to good occupations like security to cleaners and stuff like that but why resort to begging yaar..... Give it a good thought! I have always heard there is no shortage of employment but there is shortage of good skilled employees right from a Good CEO and a good security..... its like have you seen the monster.com's advertisement.... right job for the right people....

If you can give the beggar a beg, then have you ever talked with the security at your office place who operates the lift? The one who is standing at the gate at your office? Forget at your residence, you talk since he does a good amount of work for you!.... But the one at office, he must be earning hardly anything, atleast he is not begging! You know wht he thinks about you? you pass everyday and say hello to all your colleagues but not me! I also work like you and infact more hours than you! but you dunt greet me like I greet you! Evryone laughs at you at your back but I want to smile at you when you say hi to me and feel on top of the world talking to a person like you!

The other day I was walking down in my college corridor and this lift man started smiling at me and asked me ' Kaise ho aap?' And I was amazed that i have not seen him here before but somewhr i guess i know him!...... Knowing my habit of talking to all the security guys wherever I go.... I stopped to ask him where we had met? He was like " Arre aap to **** College mein pehle the na?" I am like "arre haan! aap gate pe hote the na?" And I felt good! He was smiling so heartily and was happy to see me as if I was his daughter! You should see tht smile! You get satisfied by doing a good deed this way too, not jus by giving money but wid a smile everyday, you can do a good deed..... After 2yrs of leaving my old college, i met this man and he actually remembered me out of those 10000 foot falls every single day in that college coz we used to talk to him.....
